Ruth Hancock

Ruth (Frederick) Hancock, 93 of Searcy, Arkansas went to be with the Lord, November 8, 2009. She was born in Corsicana, Texas on August 18, 1916 to the late George and Elney (Cardwell) Frederick. Ruth was a homemaker and a member of Valley Baptist Church in Searcy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of seventy-four years, Raymond (R.A.) Hancock; one son, Buford (Sonnie) Hancock; one infant son, Raymond Dale Hancock; one infant daughter, Reba Faye Hancock; one granddaughter, Tonya Hancock; one brother, Elvin Baker; two sisters, Vada McAdams and Viola Wood.

She is survived by one son, Mike Hancock and his wife Mary Ann of Searcy, AR.; two daughters, Javeta Ann Hawthorne of Avery, TX. and Carolyn Kay Woods and her husband Ray of Honey Grove, TX.; one brother, Wesley Baker of Chowchilla, CA.; one sister, Lois Ketner of Merced, CA.; thirteen grandchildren also, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by many other relatives and a host of friends, all who loved her dearly.

Visitation will be held 6:00 - 8:00 P.M, Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home in Searcy, Arkansas.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 11, 2009 in the chapel of Searcy McEuen Funeral Home in Searcy, Arkansas.

Interment will follow the service at Gum Springs Cemetery in Searcy, AR.
