Sharon Marie Cobb, 80, of Searcy, passed away, July 29, 2024. She was born August 24, 1943, to the late Chester and Marie (Hassell) Apple. 

Sharon Marie Cobb, 80, of Searcy, passed away July 29, 2024. She was born August 24, 1943 to the late Chester and Marie (Hassell) Apple.

Sharon graduated from Searcy High School in 1961. She appreciated the lifelong friendships she was able to have with several of her classmates.

She spent most of her working life in the bookkeeping field with many of those years at the Searcy Public Library. Helping people in the community suited her well.

Sharon enjoyed visiting with friends and family, traveling when she could, music, watching game shows and was an enthusiastic football fan, especially the Arkansas Razorbacks.

She genuinely cared for her family, her church family and her friends. She remembered them all in her thoughts and prayers daily and sent many cards and notes of encouragement especially to her beloved Sunday School class.

To the end, she faced the challenges in her life with an amazing quiet strength and faith in God.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, William Julian Apple, II; sister-in-law, Edythe Apple; and nephews, William (Bill) Apple and William (Bill) Butler.

She is survived by a daughter, Lisa (Greg) Neeley; grandsons, Joshua Neeley and Daniel Neeley; niece, Sheila (Mark) Vernon; sister-in-law, Linda (James) Butler; nephew, James D. (Amy) Butler; and extended family and many friends.
