Shirley J. Hite

Shirley Hite, age 66 of Searcy, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 21,
2006, due to her short battle with cancer. She was born on April 8, 1940 in Itawamba, Mississippi. She had a strong faithy in God that, according to her family, was undescribable. She was a member of the Crosby Valley Worship Center. She was a retired Lab Tech where she was employed for Dr. Ransom and Dr. Koch for 35 years. Afterwards she was the co-owner of White County Precast & Ready Mix Concrete where she was loved and respected by all her employees. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Hite, of Searcy; her daughter, Beverly Donnell and husband Bernie, of McRae; three grandchildren, Chris Donnell, Jeff Donnell and wife Detra, and Jennifer Donnell Neal and husband Wesley; four great-grandchildren, Sydney & Davis Donnell and Matthew & Emily Neal; and one sister, Velma New, of Searcy.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 23, 2006 for 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home on Monday, July 24, at 2:00 P.M. Burial will directly follow at Weir Cemetery on Hwy. 267. Pallbearers will be Jerry Don Foster, Kevin Thrasher, Al Chapman, Anthony Wolfe, Charles Stivers and Gilbert Newnum.
