Thomas Edward Feather

Thomas Edward Feather, 73, went to be with his Lord and Saviour October 23, 2022, with his loving family by his side, having lived a life full of blessing and love. 

He was born October 24, 1948, in Griffithville, AR, to Richard Beason and Mary Elizabeth (Corder) Feather. 

In 1965, he met his high school sweetheart, Ahnean, who became his wife on August 26, 1967.  He enlisted in the Army in 1968, served in Vietnam and returned home in 1971.  He began working at Polar Stainless in 1971, retiring in 1999 at the age of 50.  He began his farming career in 1973, retiring in 2015, although his farming passion was lifelong.   He was a member of Dogwood Methodist Church and served as Sunday School superintendent and teacher from 1984 until 2020.

If you knew him, there are a few things you knew about him:  He was a tightwad, he loved to work, he loved Jesus, and he had a great sense of humor that helped lighten life’s load when it got heavy.   

Strong in faith and kind in heart, his family is grateful for the many years we had his love, wisdom and guidance in our lives.  His memories and life lessons will inspire and comfort us always. 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ahnean (Hill) Feather; daughter Angela Burrow (Kevin), son Shannon (Tami), and daughter Rachel Bowling (Jerry); 6 grandchildren: Madison (Jeramy), Savannah (Dalton), Kyla, Luke (Lynley), Abby and Joshua; 7 great-grandchildren:  Aiden, Cache, Parker, Austyn, Eden-Grace, Wyatt and Lakyn; siblings Loreta Hestir, Charles Feather (Linda), Elizabeth Sumrall (Bill); brothers-in-law Quartase Waggle and Frank Hichborn; a host of nieces and nephews, extended family and cherished friends.  Tom was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters Carolyn Feather, Willie Ann Hichborn, Virginia Waggle, and brother-in-law Bill Hestir.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, October 26^th at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 27^th in the Searcy McEuen Chapel with burial following at Dogwood Cemetery.  

Memorials may be made to the Dogwood Cemetery Fund at P.O. Box 21, Griffithville, AR 72060.
