Verlon Moody

Verlon Moody 76, of Griffithville, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009. Verlon was born in Prim, Arkansas on May 24, 1932 to the late Curtis Moody and Ebbie (Carlton) Moody. He was a member of the Dogwood Methodist Church in Griffithville. He was a farmer and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Verlon was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Billie Moody.

Verlon is survived by two sons, Jerry Moody and his wife Frances of Searcy and Marvin Moody of North Little Rock; one daughter, Reba Voiles and her husband Johnny of Griffithville; two brothers, J.W. Moody of St Louis, MO. and Farris Moody of Heber Springs; two sisters, Beatrice Rushing of Heber Springs and Ann Hazelwood of Pearson, AR.; 4 grandchildren, Jason and Brent Moody, Jessica James, Cindy Sterling; 3 Great grandchildren, David Lynn Sterling III, Noah Grayson Moody and Ashlynn Paige James.

Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home of Searcy, AR.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 13, 2009 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home chapel.

Interment will follow at Dogwood Cemetery in Griffithville, Arkansas
