Verlon Wayne Roberson

Verlon Wayne Roberson, 87, of Searcy, went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 12, 2014. He was born October 15, 1926 to Otha K. and Beulah Roberson in Harmony Community.
He loved the Lord. He loved to play music and sing for Him. His church family was at Soul's Harbor Church in Searcy. He retired from the Arkansas State Highway Department and the fished anywhere he could. He loved the latter better! We love and miss him, but will look forward to the next reunion with him where maybe he'll play and sing for us.

He is survived by his children, Keith Roberson (Janet) of Searcy, Vickie Morgan (Scotty) of Searcy, Lynn Roberson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Marty Roberson of Los Angeles, California, Dannie Dulaney (Polly) of Beebe, Don Dulaney (Melanie) of Floyd, Linda Walls (Joe) of Batesville, and Brenda Bailey of Beebe; one sister, Wilda Wyatt. He is also survived by scores of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. There will be a void in all our lives for quite awhile as this family patriarch leaves us behind.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Foydell Roberson and his second wife, Oneita Dulaney Roberson; three brothers, Neal Roberson, Denver Roberson and Rudell Roberson; one sister, Lucille Huff; and two grandsons, Chris Roberson and Aaron Fiser

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2014 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with interment following at Honey Hill Cemetery.
