Wacile Hitchcock

Wacile Hitchcock, 78 of Searcy passed away Thursday, January 7, 2010. She was born June 10, 1931 to the late Robert and Sadie Carter Thomas. She was of the Methodist faith, and was a member of the Pangburn Eastern Star. She retired as a dietary manager at Oakdale Nursing Home. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was loved by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arwood "Tuffy" Moore, her second husband, W.A. "Hitch" Hitchcock, a brother, Buddy Thomas, and a sister, Mildred Gipson.

She is survived by a daughter, Judy Doyle (Cart) of Searcy, a niece, Joan Cole, two nephews, Mike Gipson and Jim Gipson, two grandchildren, David Doyle (Katherine) and Brandon Doyle (Christina), a great-grandchild, April Doyle, and four step-grandchildren, Mea, Drew, Ashlyn and Draik.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 9, 2010 from 6 to 8 PM at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Services are 2:00 PM Sunday, January 10, at the funeral home with interment to follow at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy.
