Willa Dean Lampton

Willa Dean "Deanie" Lampton, 74 of Kensett passed from this life on Saturday, July 15, 2006. Born November 13, 1931 in Russell, AR, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Mattie Adams Lampton. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Lester and Henry Lampton; two sisters, Ethel Hillman and Thelma Mears Osmon. Survivors include her son, Jimmy (Cindy) Lampton of Conway; two sisters, Fran Cooper of Kemp, TX; Betty Borden of Irving, TX; three grandsons, Carey (Stacey) Lampton of Siloam Springs, AR; Adam (Sunny) Harp of Conway; Alex (Misty) Harp of Conway; several nieces and nephews.

Deanie worked as a floral designer at Flowers 'N' Bloom in Kensett with her special niece Connie Evans and husband, Charles. She also worked previously as a book keeper; served as President of the White County Gospel Singing Convention; Secretary of Faulkner County Gospel Singing Convention; and was a member of the Kensett First United Methodist Church. She loved gospel music and even wrote and published two gospel songs.

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, July 16, 2006 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, July 17, 2006 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ross Neal and Rev. David Doyle officiating. Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery in Russell, AR.
