Willie Mae Turner

Willie Mae Turner, 84, of Rose Bud, died January 9, 2011. She was born August 12, 1926 in Rose Bud to the late John and Florence Hare Edwards.

Mrs. Turner was a member of the Mt. Bethel Freewill Baptist Church for 68 years and served as the pianist for many of those years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lyle E. Turner; three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna Moon and husband Hamlee of Rose Bud; three grandchildren, Mitchell Lyle Moon and wife Margaret, Melvin Moon and wife Clarissa, and Russ Moon; eight great-grandchildren, Caleb, Seth, Shanda, Gillian, Maegan, Molly, Turner, and Mallory Moon.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday January 11 from 6-8 PM at the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday January 12 at Mt. Bethel Freewill Baptist Church in Rose Bud.

Interment will follow in Mt. Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
