Ivy Stockberger, 76, died Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at White County Medical Center. He was born March 11, 1937 in Argos, Indiana to the late Kenneth Stockberger and Jane Wallace Stockberger.
Ivy loved to play cards with his family, especially Euchre; walking his beloved dog, Shadow, or riding his Farm-All tractor around his yard. He also loved to tell stories about his childhood. When asked if he needed anything he would always say, "Yes, a bag full of hundred dollar bills." If you wanted to get him fired up just start talking politics or tell him the best made automobile is a "Toyota" or a Ford pickup truck.
He is survived by one son, Marc Stockberger and wife, Donna of Warren, Michigan; four daughters, Fonda Dupuy and husband Chip of Searcy, Arkansas, Tony Iliff of Elkhart, Indiana, Danita Keating and husband Ron of Casper, Wyoming, and Stephanie O'Conner and husband Ed of Searcy, Arkansas; three brother, Carl Stockberger and wife, Tanya of Plymouth, Indiana, Bill Stockberger and wife, Barb of Plymouth , Indiana, Allen Stockberger and wife, Dreama of Warsaw, Indiana; two sisters, Judy Keck of Wheatland, Wyoming and Pam Taylor of Plymouth, Indiana; one son in-law, Jeff Miller; and thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his dog, Shadow.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Middleton Stockberger; one brother, Wayne Stockberger; one sister, Fern Treesh; and one brother in-law, Jerry Taylor.
Visitation will be Friday, December 20, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Searcy McEuen Chapel.
